Newton County Sheriff Keith Slape said that a search warrant was executed at the Ninnon Brannon residence in the Shiloh area. Deputies found 19 marijuana plants, suspected psilocybin mushroom grow, and components for a clandestine lab and drug paraphenalia. Brannon,54, of Jasper was charged with possession of controlled substance (marijuana), possession of parahernalia with intent to manufacture(methamphetimine), criminal attempt to manufacture of a class I (psilocybin) contolled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brannon's bond has been set at $25,000.
