On the 1st day of April 2014, Sheriff Keith Slape reports that his Office received a report in reference to Stalking.  Throughout this case, Deputies were told by the victim that she had received roughly 5,000 text messages and numerous phone calls from James Leroy Campbell, 35 of Valley Springs, along with a text message that was threatening in nature.  The victim had been issued an Order of Protection in this case and Campbell had been arrested for violating the order shortly after he had been served.  An affidavit for Stalking 2^nd Degree was prepared and a warrant was issued for Campbell.  Campbell was arrested the same day the warrant was issued and has since posted a $50,000.00 bond and has been released from jail.
